Almost nine years ago, I took the leap and left my job at CrossReach to start my self-employment journey. Recently, I had the awesome opportunity to go back and speak at their strategy day. It was a great event where senior leaders talked about support plans for Adult Care Services.
With all the challenges in the care sector, it was really inspiring to see CrossReach’s Director for Adult Care give a shoutout to his team’s dedication and stress the importance of emotional self-care. I loved sharing some tips on building emotional resilience. 💪✨
The day was even more special because I got to catch up with some old colleagues. Time flies! ⏳😊

Interesting that a Gallup survey conducted in 2023 found that 95 percent of managers are dissatisfied with their organisation’s performance review system.😲
I find a challenge lies when managers focus too much on the process rather than their approach and the quality of the discussion.
