Developing a management team’s ‘bench strength’

    Scenario: Further to a request for a family run business (with around 500 employees) to develop their management team’s “bench strength”. Jacqueline tailored a competency model highlighting the behaviours required to be a successful leader. The model was then used to measure the management team’s performance against and a bespoke leadership program was introduced to bridge the gaps.

    The competency model is now used in the Company’s recruitment process for hiring new management staff and it has been reported that there is a significant improvement across the entire management team.
