How to price your coaching services?

Putting a price on your coaching services can be a challenging task and can often stir up an emotional response.

Before I first started running my business, I can recall a colleague sharing with me the complexity involved in determining the right price for your services.

Nevertheless, it’s important to know that there are several approaches that you can take to effectively face this challenge.

Here are three top tips from The AC (Association for Coaching) Podcast on how to approach pricing your coaching services:

    One

Accept that it’s okay to get paid to do something that you love! Many coaches will feel guilt over charging for their services, but it’s important to remember that for your client, their time working with you is money well spent.

    Two

Emphasise the benefits of working with you to your client, rather than simply listing the features of your service. Help your client to recognise the personal value in the services you offer.

    Three

Don’t be afraid to set financial goals, both for you personally, and for your business. Ask yourself if your business is financially viable to sustain you long-term. If not, you may need to revisit your business model.

By following these steps, you will adopt a logical approach to pricing rather than focusing on what your clients can afford.
